We want you to understand what to look for and when to call in our experts to ensure your boat dock and boat lift are safe. Our team of highly trained marine technicians and marine construction professionals will make sure we have you covered from the smallest dock repair to a complete dock salvage. Here are some signs to look for to ensure your dock and boat lift are operating safely.

Your boat dock isn’t just a place to dock your boat. It’s your family’s gateway to fun! Here are some warning signs that you may need to call in our experts for dock repair,  dock installation or dock salvage.

  1. Look for cracking or warping in your supports. Cracks and/or some warping can be a sign of distress that can often be addressed early on with repairs. Any large cracking in your support should be checked by our team of professionals quickly. Regular maintenance can keep you from needing an entire new dock installation as your dock weathers.
  2. Look for Foundation Damage and/or Rusting of platforms or supports. Your foundation deteriorating and or cracking can be one of the most dangerous problems we see.  Our team will schedule an inspection of your supports and foundation to ensure your family and friends are safe.
  3. Rotting wood is going to happen whenever there is water and weather. Small areas of wood rot can easily be replaced with new lumber. This is one of the simplest ways to keep your dock repair at a minimum over time. You do want to watch for large areas of wood rot which could be a much larger problem. Large areas of wood rot can sometimes be more cost effective to replace entirely or do a full dock salvage to.

Your boat lift is only as good as its weakest cable. Make sure you are doing regular checks of your system and all moving parts. Here are some top signals to look for.

  1. Are your controls all working? Any malfunctioning of your control system is a sign to give us a call.
  2. Rust – the other 4 letter word! Rust is always a cause of concern. Our experts can help repair rust with simple repairs such as grinding parts down to replacing old or corroded steel parts with aluminum. Aluminum is a much longer lasting material when we can make that switch.
  3. Are your cables getting worn? Our employees have the training to do all periodic maintenance to keep your boat lift and cables in tip top shape.
  4. Your motor needs regular maintenance like any other motor, especially being stored so close to water. Our team of technicians can help with all dock repair and boat lift repair.
  5. Watching your piles for sink is a huge part of knowing the lifeline of your dock and boat slip.
